Alice Fanchiang
Speak soft, lips pressed to my ear,
tracing spells to skin.
We are beguiled.
The world turns, but we’ve
learned to halt time.
I’ve stolen the pauses from
what’s left unspoken.
You’ve bottled the hazy
moments before waking.
We are thieves.
We are collectors.
We weave seconds into days.
At parting, we won’t mourn
tender nights blurred
like lights in the rain.
